Taking a language course as a junior

So I decided to take an elementary Japanese course. It felt a little weird because all the people I knew who learned a foreign language in college started as a freshman. I signed up because I was simply interested in Japan.
My home country is South Korea. For Koreans, Japan is considered a good touring location since it only takes about two hours in a flight. I have only been to Japan once with my family, and my destination was Kyoto. Regrettably, I can's post any pictures of the tour(I forgot where I store them), but it was fun. I ate tons of great food, visited famous tourist locations and enjoyed a hot spa. Honestly, it is a place I can see myself visiting multiple times throughout my life.
In order to enjoy Japan better the next time I visit as a tourist, I have decided to learn Japanese and hopefully be able to hold casual conversations by the end of the semester. Thanks for reading!

It's cool that you've been to Japan! What was your favorite part of the trip? Did your trip happen to coincide with any holidays? I've never been yet, but would love to go there!

  2. Hi Jeffery!
I have also been to Kyoto and Osaka two years ago! I had a really good time enjoying the amazing food and scenery there. Japan is definitely a place worth traveling for multiple times.

  3. I totally understand how you feel about taking your first foreign language class in college as a Junior - while I took some Italian in high school, I hadn't taken a single language class in college until this semester, which is my last semester of Senior year!
